Taste & Odor
The
water in many systems can taste and/or smell bad due to chlorine
used to disinfect and reduce bacteria, organic chemicals or
natural causes. Bad taste and smell are especially noticeable
while drinking and bathing. Our Big Blue Heavy-Duty
Activated Charcoal filter cartridge is the least expensive
way to trap and reduce objectionable tastes and odors, and
usually requires replacement within six months. We recommend
that you always install a Big Blue 5 Micron filter before
the Charcoal filter to prolong the life of the Charcoal filter.
If you have a strong "rotten egg" sulfur smell,
you will need our Model CARB-X
or OPSX Sulfur Eliminator.
